Stogumber Neighbourhood Plan

    Stogumber Neighbourhood Plan

    Stogumber Neighbourhood Plan

    Friday 08 September 2017

Stogumber has scored a first for West Somerset as the parish’s Neighbourhood Development Plan is going to a local referendum on Thursday 5 October 2017.

The parish was the first to apply to West Somerset Council to create its own plan which would give local people power to shape the future growth and development in the place where they live.  The area for proposed plan is the part of Stogumber parish lying outside Exmoor National Park’s boundary.

Over two years the group has developed and refined its plan, talking to residents and compiling factual evidence.  The Plan has been subject to consultation and independent examination.  Local people will now vote on whether they would like the plan to be used to determine planning applications in the area it covers.
