    This year’s Recruit West Somerset Careers and Jobs Fair is predicted to be one of the best to date as more and more employers show their support to help raise awareness of current employment opportunities in the area.

    The event will offer advice directly from employers on what they look for when recruiting and information on how existing skills can transfer into a new career.
     
    Employers signed up to attend include Beaver Ford, Berrys Coaches, Bluebird Care, Butlins, Brooks Equipment, Bylor, Channel Training, Cornerstone Project, Foxes Academy, G4S Facilities, G4S Security, Hinkley Point C Jobs Service, HOST, Haven, Lidl, Magna Housing, McDonalds, Minehead Eye, Nettlecombe Court, NHS Partnership Trust, Playnation, Premier Inn, Price Western, RAF, Somerset Larder, Styles Ice Cream, St Audries Bay Holiday Club, The Army, Voyage Care and Weatherspoons. 
     
    A number of the employers will have current vacancies and apprenticeships on offer. 
     
    Local training providers and support agencies will also be on hand to answer any questions in relation to skills development, including, Dimensions, Positive People, UNITE South West, Somerset Business Agency and Somerset Skills & Learning. 
     
    The organisers include West Somerset Council, Jobcentre Plus, and Hinkley Point C.
     
    Andrew Goodchild, Assistant Director for Place and Energy Infrastructure at West Somerset Council, said: “Previous events have provided some great outcomes for individuals and businesses.  We are sure that this event will be no different. Anybody looking for work or a change in career would be most welcome”. 
     
    Anyone who is interested in attending should come along with an up to date copy of their CV. 
     
    The Recruit West Somerset Careers and Jobs Fair will take place at The Beach Hotel, Minehead, from 3.30pm –7pm on Thursday 22 February 2018.
