Steam Coast Trail

West Somerset Council is working with Friends of the Steam Coast Trail and Sustrans to deliver the Steam Coast Trail Project - a vision of safe cycling routes linking Minehead and Williton.

A grant of £637,000, awarded by the Government’s Coastal Communities Fund and delivered by the Big Lottery Fund, has enabled the construction of a designated multi-user path from Dunster Beach to Blue Anchor. This 2km ‘Bridge Path’ will unlock a 36km network of cycle routes, using existing cycle paths and safer B-roads.
