Draft Williton Village Masterplan

West Somerset Council is undertaking a 6-week consultation on the Williton Village Masterplan from 9am on 10th June until 5pm on 22nd July.

The Draft Williton Village Masterplan can be downloaded from this page under Related Documents. The file size of the full masterplan is too large to upload to the website so it has been split into downloadable sections.

Public Meeting June 2011

As part of this consultation, we are organising a public event to raise awareness and invite discussion about the masterplan:

Thursday 23rd June, from 5-8pm West Somerset Council Offices, Williton

About the Masterplan

The masterplan and responses to this consultation will form part of the evidence base for the district’s Local Development Framework (LDF), which will be the overarching planning strategy for the area.

The document considers technical issues that will need to be addressed before growth in Williton can be considered.  These include for example:

  • Flooding – parts of the village have previously suffered flooding
  • Transport – how to make the village centre more accessible on foot and by bike
