Minehead Harbour is situated in the historic town of Minehead.
West Somerset Council welcomes visitors to the area, which has the following attractions:
Dunster village is a short bus ride away
Porlock Town, with its own harbour
Butlins Holiday Resort in walking distance of Minehead harbour
West Somerset Steam Railway is also in walking distance of Minehead harbour.
A Farmers Market which operates in Minehead Town Centre on Fridays.
or visitors can take advantage of the many shops, pubs and restaurants in Minehead Town. The centre is just a 10 minute walk from the harbour.
Visitor moorings are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Please call at the Fishing Tackle Kiosk on the Quayside or telephone our Assistant Harbour Master 07528208758 on your arrival.
Public Launching Sites (Slipways)
For those with their craft on trailers, there is a concrete slipway with a nearby public car park for parking trailers and cars.
Payment Of Fees
Payment of visitor mooring fees and/or daily/weekly slipway fees should be made at the Fishing Tackle Kiosk, on the quayside who will issue a receipt.
If you require an annual slipway consent, please complete the form under related documents and submit to the Council, together with the relevant fee. Please note, annual slipway consents expire on the 30th April each year and are non transferable.

WC facilities are available in the car park next to the harbour.
There are a number of bins provided for the disposal of rubbish. These are located on the Quayside and in the Car Park.
Litter or rubbish must not be disposed of in the Harbour.
To maintain high water quality, no sewage must be discharged into the Harbour especially as it is close to a bathing area.
The nearest bus stop is located at the end of Quay Street.
Minehead Railway Station is located at the end of Quay Street, opposite the Beach Hotel.
Minehead Harbour is open to use to many people, and to ensure the health and safety of all harbour users, visitors are required to:
Register the name of the vessel at the Harbour Master Office/Fishing Tackle Kiosk
Navigate the vessel at a speed not exceeding three knots
Ensure free passage to other vessels at all times
Ensure the vessel does not obstruct stairs/landings
Ensure sails are not loose after sunset or during squally weather
Ensure rubbish/litter is not discharged into the harbour
Ensure adequate means of controlling any oil spillage that may occur.
Ensure adequate insurance is in place to cover third party claims when in the harbour or parked on any property owned or managed by West Somerset Council.
Consider the health and safety of other users, including pedestrians along the harbourside, at all times.
Comply at all times with the conditions of the Harbour Bylaws.
