Building Control
The purpose of Building Regulations is to safeguard the health, safety, welfare and convenience of all people, including the disabled, in and about buildings. This control extends to both private and public buildings, with plan checking and site inspections being undertaken by Building Control Officers.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! West Somerset Building Control Charges are being brought in line with neighbouring authorities. The changes have been effective from 1 January 2010 and will also incorporate the VAT increase from 15% to 17.5%.
