Slinky Services
Slinky Services are pre-booked door to door demand responsive bus services for those who cannot access public transport, where public transport is not available and for those without access to suitable transport for their journey.
The service can be used for a variety of reasons, including health appointments, shopping, commuting to and from work, social events, evening classes and for making links with other public transport. Each SLINKY service operates at slightly different times so please check when making your booking.
Prices are shown in the service timetables, but holders of a Somerset Travelpass are entitled to travel free after 9am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday.To obtain timetables contact Somerset Direct on tel: 0845 345 9155.
All Slinky vehicles are easily accessible and able to provide access to wheelchair users.
There are currently 6 SLINKY services in Somerset and a similar service called Mendip Dial-A-Ride. The SLINKY services are available in the following areas:
