Tourist Information Centre
Minehead Visitor Information Centre is closing temporarily but its phone calls and emails are being automatically diverted to nearby Porlock TIC. This means you can still use the usual phone number, 01643 702624, and email address, visitor@westsomerset.gov.uk, if you are looking for visitor information.
Alternatively, you can contact Porlock TIC direct on 01643 863150, via email at visit@porlock.co.uk or you can call into the centre which is based at Westend, Porlock, Somerset, TA24 8QD. Its winter opening hours are 10am – 12.30pm from Monday to Friday and 10am – 2pm on Saturdays.
Information on Exmoor, the Coast and Quantock Hills including attractions, places to stay, and events and festivals is available 24/7 at www.visit-exmoor.co.uk. The website also features an online visitor guide.
If you are already in Minehead and looking for leaflets on local attractions or a visitor guide, which also features places to stay, these can be picked up from West Somerset Council’s Customer Centre in Summerland Road (TA24 5BP) or Minehead Town Council, which is located in The Avenue (TA24 5NB).
The Customer Centre in Summerland Road sells coach tickets for National Express, Berrys Coaches and Firstbus. Its opening hours are 9am - 5pm from Monday – Thursday and 9am – 4.30pm on Fridays, although please note that on Fridays it also closes for lunch between 1pm - 2pm. Minehead Town Hall is open from 9am – 2pm from Monday to Friday.
A selection of tourism information and access to the internet (free WIFI) is also available at 17 Friday Street (The Reading Room) - open six days a week not Sundays from 10am to 4pm.
