Exmoor Tourism Partnership
In 2009, four organisations actively involved in supporting tourism in the area formed the Exmoor Tourism Partnership (ETP). The core members are Exmoor National Park Authority, West Somerset Council and the Exmoor Tourist Association.
Among the achievements of the Exmoor Tourism Partnership (ETP) in its first few years of business include an annual tourism guide, Exmoor, the Coast and the Quantock Hills, which has been marketed at national trade shows and exhibitions, and supporting events that attract a national audience such as the North Devon and Exmoor Walking Festival and the Exmoor Food Festival.
The ETP on an annual basis produces a strategic marketing plan that is then delivered through its industry led Working Groups. The Groups commission public relations, printed media, website development and innovative social media.
During 2011 ETP have successfully bid for funding from the Local Action in Rural Communities Fund (LARC) for £10,000 to re-develop www.visit-exmoor.co.uk and over £30,000 from the Exmoor National Park partnership Fund to support the marketing and promotion of the area.
