Regardless of your age, income or house type, this insulation is now free to everyone through the Warm Streets scheme and we hope will remain so until the end of this year.

After this funding runs out, you may have to pay £100s for this insulation so please register your interest now!
The Warm Streets scheme includes draught-proofing and hot water tank jackets as secondary measures.
Local Home Energy Advice
Supported by your local authority the Home Energy team at the Centre for Sustainable Energy provides expert, local knowledge about grants for insulation; from basic loft insulation to more complex solid wall retrofitting; as well as help with improving heating, lowering gas and electricity bills and receiving the right benefits.

Somerset West Home Energy - Love your home
Thinking of improving the energy efficiency of your home?
Want to stay warm, make your home more comfortable and save money?
Somerset West Home Energy is one of the few schemes across the UK offering grants for solid wall insulation.
Funding is also available for cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and heating repairs and upgrades.
The funding amount will be determined by a free survey of your home by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor.

WISH project - Warmer Improved Homes

Wessex Home Improvement Loans (WHIL)
WHIL offers affordable financial assistance to home owners and landlords to enable them install renewable energy, insulation and A rated boilers. Phone 0845 408 2546 or email customer.services@sedgemoor.gov.uk
Social Tariffs
Fuel Suppliers often offer reduced tariffs to more vulnerable customers. These are known as social tariffs. The qualifying criteria and the reductions offered differ from company to company The best thing is to discuss this with your fuel supplier or contact Centre for Sustainable Energy on www.cse.org.uk or phone 01179 341 425.
Landlord Energy Saving Allowance (LESA)
Landlords can save on tax on energy measures put into rented properties to find out more look on the Government website or speak to your accountant.
West Somerset Heating Controls Scheme
Residents over 60 or with children under 16 or in off gas area or in solid wall property could receive:-
- Cash Back of £15 per Thermostatic Radiator Valve fitted in the home (maximum of 7)
- Cash Back of up to £75 for fitting a programmer or Thermostat
