Advice for Homeowners
The Council through the Somerset West Private Sector Housing Partnership can offer advice and financial assistance in a number of ways if your house is in need of improvement, adaptation or repair.
If you have a disability and need to have works done to your home so you can stay there, you can apply for the Disabled Facilities Grant. If you have a empty property, and would like to bring it back into occupation we may be able to help you with a grant to ensure the property meets the required standards.
Low interest loans are also available to carry out essential works to ensure the safety of your home. If you require help to carry out minor maintenance, the handyperson scheme may be able to help.
Please check out the list of services available on the left.
