Tourism Businesses urged to take early bird offer

Monday 12 July 2010

Tourism businesses in Exmoor and West Somerset are being urged to make the most of a price freeze and a 10% early bird booking offer on the area’s main tourism brochure, Exmoor 2011 - the visitor guide for Exmoor, coast and Quantocks.

Bosses at the Exmoor Tourism Partnership (ETP), which produces the not-for-profit guide, decided to hold last year’s prices to help support businesses through the tough economic times.  It is also holding the early bird booking discount until July 29.

Mike Bishop, a member of the ETP, said: “The 10% discount can save businesses up to nearly £150, so we are encouraging them to sign up as soon as possible to make their money go further.

“The guide is a not-for-profit publication underwritten by West Somerset Council.  We are doing all we can to support the industry and we hope they will make the most of the offer.”
