Code of Conduct Notice
LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 2000 CODE OF CONDUCT FOR COUNCILLORS AND CO-OPTED MEMBERS REGISTER OF MEMBERS INTERESTS
On 13th December 2001 West Somerset District Council adopted a new Code of Conduct for members and co-opted members.
Following adoption of the Code of Conduct all councillors have completed a written undertaking that they will observe it and have completed forms detailing their financial and other interests.
Councillors have to declare any gifts or hospitality that they have received in their capacity as a councillor which exceed the value of £25.00
The Code of Conduct and the Register of Gifts and Hospitality are all public documents and can be viewed at the Council Offices, Williton, Somerset TA4 4DY between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm Fridays, arrangements can be made for appointments to view the documents outside of these hours.
The Register of Financial and Other interest can be viewed at the councils main offices during normal office hours following a request to the Monitoring Officer.
