Payments Over £500
This page lists quarterly reports of individual payments to suppliers with a value over £500. Some personal data has been removed to comply with data protection law.
Below is a brief explanation of the information provided in the report.
Body name - Name of the authority
Body - This is a unique reference to West Somerset Council and is taken from the website http://statistics.data.gov.uk
Batch Ref - This is the internal Batch Ref used to process the payments
Internal Ref - This is the reference code from our accounts system that we use to identify the invoice that has been paid
Supplier Ref - The internal Ref of the supplier in our accounts system
Supplier Name - The name of the supplier that has received a payment from us
Date - The date the payment was processed by the Council. This usually takes 3 working days to reach the recipient.
Amount - The amount paid to the supplier
Format of the data
The data is presented as comma separated value (CSV) files which can be read by text editors and spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel and Open Office. We have also provided PDF versions that can be printed.
Publication of these lists forms part of the Council's commitment to be open and transparent with its residents.

If you would like to know more information about an individual payment, please contact the Corporate Finance team. We aim to be as transparent as we can but in some cases we will need to respect information that could be seen as commercially sensitive. Where requests cover a range of suppliers and payments, these will be treated as a Freedom of Information Act request and the 20 working day rule will apply.
