Paying Your Business Rates
All Non Domestic Rates payers are entitled to pay their current year's bill by a maximum of ten monthly instalments. The number of instalments will be reduced depending on the time of year in which the bill is issued.
How can I Pay?
Payments can be made by using our secure payments web pages by clicking on the "Pay for it" tab on the right hand side of this page.

You must ensure that your fifteen digit Non Domestic Rates account number is quoted in the transaction to ensure correct allocation of your funds. It is important that the above bank account details are used for Non Domestic Rates payments only.
Providing that you have a current bank or building society account please complete a Direct Debit form. Once your Direct Debit has been set up, there will be no more forms to complete, no more cheques to write, no more postage charges to pay and no more queuing to make payments.
If you have a debit/credit card you can pay using the Council's automated 24 hour telephone service on 01643 703704.
Use the barcode on your bill to pay at any Post Office you will be given a receipt, which you should retain (cheques should be made payable to Post Office Ltd).

Opening hours at West Somerset Council Offices in Williton are 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.30pm on Friday.
Making Cash Payments to the Council - Customer Guidance
Cheques should be made payable to West Somerset Council. Please ensure that your Council Tax account number is quoted on the back of your cheque. Cash should only be sent by recorded delivery.

When can I Pay?
The statutory scheme of payments is by ten monthly instalments, these are due on the 1st of each month, commencing on 1st April the final instalment being due on 1st January. (Direct Debit instalments currently offered include the 1st, 8th, 15th and 23rd) Details of your monthly instalments are shown on the bill.
Payments will also be allowed on a yearly basis provided that the full year's charge is paid before 15th April.
Half yearly payments will be allowed if the first half is paid before 15th April and the second half year before 15th September.
